CIU9872B_01 Plus chip uses 32-bit secure CPU core and EEPROM memory, supports hardware cryptographic algorithms (DES/AES/ECC/RSA/SHA-n, SM1/SM2/SM3/SM4), supports multiple interfaces: 7816/14443/ I2C / GPIO, for financial applications. EMV originally stood for Europay, Mastercard, and Visa, the three companies that created the standard. The standard is now managed by EMVCo, a consortium with control split equally among Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express, China UnionPay, and Discover. EMVCo also refers to "Associates," companies able to provide input and receive feedback on detailed technical and operational issues connected to the EMV specifications and related processes.
